This year, Coast Youth Community Trust launched a brand new series called Flourish. Flourish is designed to connect high school aged girls with the significant women in their lives.
We realise it's hard to spend quality time together when the busyness of life gets in the way, so we've made it our mission to create a safe and fun space for this to happen.
Over the last 6 months, we've hosted three Flourish events involving 100+ women, many generous sponsors, and a lot of fun.
Did you miss out on Flourish 2019? Don't worry! Here's a recap of each event to get you excited for Flourish in 2020.
While nibbling on tea and snacks, our attendees listened to Bronwyn Burrowes share about ‘Knowing Yourself and Being Known’. Sam (24-7 Youth Worker) played some sweet sweet tunes, and everyone had a chance to talk together and reflect on Bronwyn's message.
The focus of this event was self-care and pampering.
A wonderful and well known speaker, Vanessa Gatman, spoke on self love and all our guests were pampered at stations run by volunteers (who had as much fun as the guests!). The stations included nails, hair, makeup, and DIY face masks.
Last but not least, our third Flourish event was about sharing a meal together. An incredible grazing platter lined the table, and an even more incredible speaker, Milly Darling, shared on the importance of trusting yourself.
All attendees made jars filled with brownie ingredients to make later or pass on as a gift. Lots of insightful conversations were had, and many friendships made!
We're excited to continue Flourish into the New Year and beyond, and couldn't run these events without our incredible sponsors!
