CYC Trust is committed to supporting rangatahi (young people) and tamariki (children) on the Hibiscus Coast. We partner with rangatahi through relationships, ensuring that they are seen and heard and helping them discover purpose and hope for their future. Our mission is to build resilient individuals and a stronger community.

Hannah & Jess spent last Friday in Christchurch completing Tamariki Tipu training 🌱

It is a privilege to be able to journey alongside the children in our local primary schools & ensuring we are equipped to do so is very important to us at CYC Trust ⭐️

We loved having our supporters with us on Monday morning to thank them & share our 2025 updates!

Empowering kids to thrive with our Real You program ☀️

Our youth workers run a program twice a week alongside the school counsellors for groups of year 7-9’s from Whangaparāoa College.

Teaching the essentials of healthy relationships, self-care, setting boundaries, making confident decisions and building resilience 🩵

Connecting with Youth Hub to help young people get ready for their licenses ☀️

A couple of weeks ago Hannah, Adam & Liam had the opportunity to support Whangaparāoa School in their annual Triathlon!

Liam, who is the Children’s Worker in Whangaparāoa School is loving connecting with the tamariki and community. We are excited to see what the rest of 2025 will bring 🩵

Our ‘Young Māmās Group’ has started back up for the year! All māmās under 22 welcome. We would love to see you there! ☀️

Jess has had an awesome first two weeks in Gulf Harbour School. She has loved meeting the Tamariki, running lunchtimes activities and our friendship program ⭐️

Kezia & Damo (24-7 Youth Workers) had an awesome time away on camp with the Whangaparāoa College Year 13s last week 🌞

They completed the Tongariro Crossing, served the community picking up rubbish & supported the young people to complete an amazing race.

It was an epic time of connection and building positive relationships with the year 13s and school staff 🩵

As our impact continues to grow and to encompass the scope of our work, we have changed what our name CYC Trust stands for! We are now your local ‘Community Youth & Children’s Trust’ 🩵

Our new symbol is designed as a koru as it represents new life, growth, strength & peace which is what we aim to do alongside young people as well as the season we are in as a Trust. You may also notice it continues to be made up of the letters ’CYC’ 🪴✨

We are so excited to finally announce…

Tamariki Tipu - Growing Children 🌱☁️☀️

Tamariki Tipu is an adapted primary school version of 24-7 Youth Work which we have been outworking in Whangaparāoa College for the last 19 years. We will be launching Children’s Workers in 3 local primary schools for 10 hrs per week in Term 1.

We are excited to be partnering with Red Beach School, Whangaparāoa School and Gulf Harbour School to outwork Tamariki Tipu in 2025. We now have the opportunity to together contribute positively to the wellbeing of our young people from Year 0 - 13! 🩵

It is good to be back! We have been planning a pretty epic 2025 with some exciting announcements coming soon 🤩

We wanted to quickly hop on & give our well wishes to all heading back to school in the next couple of days. We can’t wait to get back and see everyone!

We are looking for two youth workers to work 20hrs a week in Whangaparaoa College in 2025. If you have a passion for seeing young people flourish and want to be a part of helping them have a more positive future, this could be the role for you.

We are excited to announce that we have a crew running the half & full Auckland marathon next Sunday! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Claud (Youth Service Coach) is running the Half Marathon alongside 4 family members of CYC Trust and Torin (24-7 Youth Worker) is running the Marathon!

Their heart is to overcome a challenge and raise money for the work we do with young people on the Hibiscus Coast. We are super proud and grateful they wanted to take on this initiative, go team 🤍

Our Golf Day would not have been able to happen without the incredible businesses we have in our community getting behind us! Thank you so much, we are very grateful ⛳

We are still buzzing from our Golf Fundraiser on Friday! It was an awesome day filled with community support, golf & yummy food. Thank you to all who came and made the day possible 🩵

Last week our building was full as we had 30 young people take part in our Learner Licence Course! We are stoked to announce that we had a 100% pass rate of those who we recommended to take the test 🚗

We are super proud of all those who took part and love being able to empower these young people to be safe drivers! 🎉

Today we celebrate & farewell the incredible Kylah! Kylah is an amazingly humble, caring and talented person & we so appreciate all she has brought in her time at the Trust, in her Youth Service Team Leader role and beyond. She is well loved and will be dearly missed! 🩵

We are stoked that we can still work alongside her as she starts her new position @hibiscusyouthhub this week 🤩

Learner Licence Course is back! 🛣

Are you aged 15-22 years old and wanting to get your learner licence?

We have a course running these school holidays designed to help you gain the confidence to pass your test and be a safe driver. There are limited spots so get in quick! 🚗
