Kezia & Damo (24-7 Youth Workers) had an awesome time away on camp with the Whangaparāoa College Year 13s last week 🌞

They completed the Tongariro Crossing, served the community picking up rubbish & supported the young people to complete an amazing race.

It was an epic time of connection and building positive relationships with the year 13s and school staff 🩵

As our impact continues to grow and to encompass the scope of our work, we have changed what our name CYC Trust stands for! We are now your local ‘Community Youth & Children’s Trust’ 🩵

Our new symbol is designed as a koru as it represents new life, growth, strength & peace which is what we aim to do alongside young people as well as the season we are in as a Trust. You may also notice it continues to be made up of the letters ’CYC’ 🪴✨

Tamariki Tipu is an adapted primary school version of 24-7 Youth Work which we have been outworking in Whangaparāoa College for the last 19 years. We will be launching Children’s Workers in 3 local primary schools for 10 hrs per week in Term 1.

We are excited to be partnering with Red Beach School, Whangaparāoa School and Gulf Harbour School to outwork Tamariki Tipu in 2025. We now have the opportunity to together contribute positively to the wellbeing of our young people from Year 0 - 13! 🩵

We are excited to announce that we have a crew running the half & full Auckland marathon next Sunday! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Claud (Youth Service Coach) is running the Half Marathon alongside 4 family members of CYC Trust and Torin (24-7 Youth Worker) is running the Marathon!

Their heart is to overcome a challenge and raise money for the work we do with young people on the Hibiscus Coast. We are super proud and grateful they wanted to take on this initiative, go team 🤍

Last week our building was full as we had 30 young people take part in our Learner Licence Course! We are stoked to announce that we had a 100% pass rate of those who we recommended to take the test 🚗

We are super proud of all those who took part and love being able to empower these young people to be safe drivers! 🎉

Today we celebrate & farewell the incredible Kylah! Kylah is an amazingly humble, caring and talented person & we so appreciate all she has brought in her time at the Trust, in her Youth Service Team Leader role and beyond. She is well loved and will be dearly missed! 🩵

We are stoked that we can still work alongside her as she starts her new position @hibiscusyouthhub this week 🤩
